Just a FYI on these.. I made a woden model on my lathe and then scanned it and had a guy who owns a CNC machine make me a couple sweet aluminum molds.
My logic was that the silicone would cost a bit less than the aluminum but aluminum would last a life time and would yield a perfect bait every time.
The large sprew is needed so you don't have to go back and top off the cavities as the rubber contracts and shrinks, which can cause a big bubble at the area that you pour from.
