Fishing with loved ones

I took my girlfriend to a local backwater area today. I brought a rig not expecting to catch and I didnt. I brought Jami with me because she likes photography and outdoor shots. I asked if she wanted to learn how to cast and she reluctantly said yes. She listened to my simple instructions and was a natural! Fishing is something I truly love and to have another person in my life that could've cared less about fishing truly appreciate my pursuits and want to learn was amazing. I can't say she'll keep the hours I do and love the surf as much as I do but to see her cast a rod and have the anticipation of maybe getting a fish was awesome. This may sound corny but with all the loved ones we've lost lately, as a young man I'd love to make memories that so many of you have probably shared over the years. My view on life got a little bit smaller today and I truly believe those little moments that you'll always remember matter most. End of rant and condolences to those lost. I hope I have a fishing buddy for life. Cherish the little things and keep those you love close. Tight lines.
