this past weekend in RI, i caught well over 125 bass in the two nights i spent fishing WH. the DEADLY combo was a HABS needle with a peanut bunker type teaser ahead of it. i had many doubles, but the largest fish i took, as well as my fishing partner, was caught on the teaser. not to take anything away from the HABS, though, as some very respectable fish were taken on that too. i even tried using other plugs to deliver the teaser such as atom 40's and darters and bottle plugs, but the needle/teaser combo was HOT! one thing i will recommend, and a lot of people forget this, is to use the longest leader you can comfortably cast. i use a 5' minimum leader, with about a 15" dropper off the swivel ahead of the plug. teasers have there time and place, and this weekend was both!
