tonite and tomorrow nite will be the best nites in the last 30 years to see them here in New England. This is a RARE phenomenon due to the fact we are at the actual low side of the 11 year sunspot cycle...these LARGE sunspots took alot of scientists by surprise. I'm a ham operator too so I watch stuff like this all the time....different levels of the ionosphere carry radio signals and when there is an aurora this big it's like a 500 mile striper blitz up and down the east coast
But I stayed in the shop and made plugs tonite
