when I bought my first kayak to fish southern california. It was yellow.

The visibility to other boaters was important to me over concern of sharks.

Whne I showed up with it...all my friends laughed and asked...
"why Yum Yum Yellow?" I was informed that great whites liked yellow.

I never was attacked, but I must say a few outings paddling around
solo, I felt as if I were stalked. The hairs on my neck freaking out.
this photo from the same area I fished.

more on yum yum yellow....hahahhahaha.

I would not worry about it too much. You can always paint your hull
some other color....if you think it makes a difference. I have seen
some surfers band their boards and wetsuits (zebra) to break their
silhouette, camo, or deter a tasting.
