It makes a big difference sometimes. I used to fish a spot on the canal that was "inaccessible" to most. After daybreak or the pre dawn tides could draw some attention. I used to bring a white kitchen trash bag with me and fill it with trash from the beach. Most was wash up but it didn't matter. Had an old guy come down looking all tough to toss me out and when I picked up the trash bag to leave, he said "what's that?" I told him that I do it every time I fish here. He said "enjoy your night and good luck". Not such a secret spot but #^&#^&#^&#^& heads leaving trash made locals want to shut it down.
