 The number of jobs isn't an ingredient of the unemployment calculation.  Unemployment is, roughly speaking...
the number of people looking for work who are not employed...
divided by...
the number of people working, plus (I think) the number of people looking but not working.
If everyone who works takes a second job, that doesn't change the unemployment percentage.  because no one is now working, who was previously unemployed.
unemployment decreases, when someone who wasn't working yesterday, gets a job today.
