Same thing with Buckmaster. The thought of losing those two guys really had me down last night. Right now at least, it looks like we haven't lost anyone from the fishing boards. Some of the horror stories though

. One guy on SOL says like 500 people from his company are missing. Crazy Al says he is missing some family, friends and coworkers I believe.
It's depressing to do everything now. Watching TV, reading the paper, reading the net... it's too much. Last night, my mom and I were watching the local NBC that covers CT news. We get both NBC in NY and NBC in CT. They had the story of one guy from Oxford, CT about what he was doing beforehand, during and how he escaped. The guy was constantly breaking down and the had to stop filming a bunch of times. He continued because he felt it was the only way he could pay tribute to the rescue workers. He still clings to the napkin he wet and covered his mouth with to get through the smoke. That man will be messed up for life. The thing that sticks in my mind was at the interview, he said, "You know how people get 15 minutes of fame? You can have mine back..." (he broke down with his face in his hands) "you can have mine back." Man that story really got me. Really jabs you right in the heart. I don't think I'll ever forget that line.
The other story that kills me is the CEO of Cantor-Fitzgerald. The survivors guilt he must have because he was taking his kid to his first day of Kindergarten. The guy was breaking down. When he dryed his tears with his hand, he would rub his eyes and you could see underneath his eyelids. The guy must be constantly crying. They were so irritated.
Then all the people looking for the missing. Some of them are in such denial. It's not the story as whole that breaks my heart. It's the personal stories that make you think, "Hey, this guy was just like me."
Anyways, glad to hear Buckmaster and Mikey are okay. Big sigh of relief there.
