Oct 24 2003,While fishing in front of the Andrea we were into 10 lb + blues one after the other.I was throwing my "gtf out there plug", a Salty Seagar (electric blue mackeral).I had just taken a photo of a big blue with said plug in his mouth.I tossed my plug out there, really puttin' my shoulder into it when there was a violent shake at the tip of my rod and I could tell the plug was gone.I've never had a palomar knot slip,maybe this is what happened?But plug, 3 ft long leader(floro) and crosslok were gone,and I was planning on retiring that plug cause she had lotsa battle scars on her and served me well on the Cape too.I dunno if that's the plug but what a coincidence.Last time I saw my plug it had the belly hook but the belly grommett had come free from the body and was being kept on by the swivel and hook,like I said I really used this plug.Anyway, that's my sad story of loss this season,I just stared out at the ocean in shock when it happened....
