Yup, there was a year in the mid-2000's when there was a few boats who had 80W's on the boat in the fall.


About every 3 years they seem to make an appearance on the deeper blackfish grounds if the herring are thick. Usually Oct-Nov. Tautog hooked one on a spinning rod for about 15 seconds a few years back while blackfishing and floating a bait for bluefish...
