I think everyone should work together but life is hard and I see the left as always wanting to take the easy road in their problem solving areas of governing. It's that simple why when it comes to certain policy that people side one way or the other.
The country set up monopolies shipping manufacturing and control overseas long ago, we could have kept some here.

The USA is 20th in shipping and drops further down every year.
The last wacko tariff try, the Smoots Hawley Act, at best exacerbated the Great Depression and reduced US trade by 67%.
History will tell what the effects of Trump*s tariffs were.
Congress, not the President needs to do the job that the Constitution gives it thru the Commerce Clause and control trade if it needs to be controlled at all.
