My own experience has been that the boat guys catch most of the fish. By making them gamefish, you’re moving the fish from one boat to another. Also would mean that only recreational boaters would get to eat
(very tasty) stripers. I know lots of folks here would like to catch more fish, but it’s hard to say what’s right.
