spent fri-monday fishing the shores of MV...saw lot's of bonito action early on...very difficult...watched feeds with boats and kayaks on them in several locations and never saw a bent rod....we had them close to shore on a number of occasions, never saw a fish landed from shore though one kid said he got one on a blind cast from the beach...Sunday AM the albies showed up....same deal feeds everywhere, watched the boats and kayaks right in them and no bent rods...the only one I actually saw, was a pic a guy showed me Sunday afternoon from earlier that morning...it was a hefty albie...I'd gotten tight to one just before we started talking .... it broke me off after a couple of sizzling long runs...everything was eating peanuts, everyone was throwing epoxies...I got bit on a small crippled herring, wanted to throw flies more but the wind and distance...the only bass we encountered came into Jaws Bridge Friday night and even they were picky...so lots of all-day action out there just have to be patient and appreciate crazy feeds just out of reach

...highly recommend the campground on MV
