I think you hit the proverbial nail on the proverbial head..and you probably wouldn't mind as much if it had a little quality to it, I had a box of bolts last week, made "over seas"... out of 100, about 20, had threads on one side, the other was round stock, how does that even happen, they were 1/4 X20 … and fully 1/3 of the remaining bolts wouldn't thread the nut on.. terrible..

My boat trailer was made in 1977, same as my boat... they made things to last back then...of coarse, now, I've replaced just about every fastener with stainless ones... every bolt gets, Loc-tite,grease or never-sieze…

they want us to recycle everything, I guess becoming one with the earth BEFORE you are done with it is what they are thinking about.

A good run is better than a bad stand!
