I go to pull my crab trap that I can only get to at low tide and it’s gone along with the 3’ rebar stake… WTF

I figure someone stole it but checked with the natural resource dept. …
Ya, we have it,,, it gets ugly after that…

She (the NR officer ) said she called the clammin officer and he said it couldn’t be 6 sided ( it’s rectangular ) WTF
WHY ?
Something about a danger to some turtle on the endangered list..

Trying to keep it together, I ask , where’s my trap..

This is when I lost it…
She Had no idea, or very little knowledge of them…
Tells her I’ve been trapping crabs in that same spot for seven years even when I don’t need anymore just to try keeping them at bay….
Do you know that they are the reason the tidal bank has been reseeding yr after yr…
Gets that plank star again….

I will say in her behalf she didn’t try and fake it like she new about the problem ,, and she explained how she spent the morning researching on about the crabs….

I took my trap , went home, baited it, and made it back to my spot before the tide got too high and set it out….

It looks like the wind is going to cooperate in a couple days and,,, dammit! I need bait….
