Actual conversation I had with a RI DEM officer:
Officer: "What you fishing for? "
Me: "Stripers... I caught a few schoolies."
Officer: "How about striped bass? You catch any of those? "
Me: (long pause in disbelief) " no... no striped bass...... just a few stripers"
Officer: "ok good luck"
Man, you can't make this stuff up..... Somebody's uncle got their idiot nephew a job..... like the slot machine boss in the movie casino
