a a great question, sincerely.
I think Trump is neither. Not the leader, not the downfall. He was an amazing person, an unbelievable jerk ( well covered) who nonetheless implemented policies which a record. umber of americans claimed made them better off ( which liberals are desperate to avoid talking about.).
after 8 years of obama, the democrats held fewer elected offices than at any time since Civil War reconstruction.
for gods sake the gop has 50 senators, a razor thin minority in the house, and a majority of governorships and state legislatures. you call that a fringe party? the gop is fine.
I don’t believe the election was stolen. I think he got creamed.
There wasn’t another human being who could have defeated Hilary Clinton, nobody. And that win, allowed him to change/save the supreme court to the conservative mindset, That was a gift from God for conservatives.
Conservatives are way better off right now, than we’d be if Jeb Bush won the 2016 nomination and got clobbered by Hilary and she put three judges on SCOTUS. Not even close. i can’t see how youd make the case that the gop would be better off right now, had Hilary won the general
in 2016.
But he needs to not run again, for sure. That would be very bad for the GOP. We don’t need his shock value anymore. We did in 2016 to expose things that wouldn’t have been exposed otherwise. But we don’t anymore.
