Hard to believe but, this guy is a U.S. Senator, telling boys that games and porn are the natural reaction to criticism. Not only is this one of the most majestic snowflake rationalizations of all time, but he has the causation backward.
Just remember Hawley doesn't get paid to soberly address societal problems, he gets paid to use those problems to his advantage.

Hawley isn’t telling men that’s the natural reaction to criticism. Hawley is saying that’s how some
men are reacting. i have no idea if he’s right or not.
Pete, if i say “black fathers are abandoning their children in harmful numbers”, that doesn’t mean I’m telling men to do that. i’m just reporting what’s happening. You don’t see that difference?
you can bet Hawley isn’t talking about an equal share of conservative men and liberal men, Pete. Conservative men arent being told their masculinity is toxic or shameful. Hawley is talking about you.
