Never noticed the smell....Then I made a small batch of stubbies to play with it and they're still sitting in the box waitin to be thrown out...Smells like chit when you open up a bag

Before you toss'em try puttin them in oven @ 200 degrees for an hour or more. I have used this technique to dry out all kinds of things. Once I used it to dry out a cellphone....don't ask.
