Not telling you what to do, but i would bring that thing to Bass pro and return for a store credit with no receipt... as it was a gift.
Before anyone tries to get all high and mighty on me, its not scamming them at all... they get a product that they already sell, and now you spend that $$ in store.
But hey,.,, thats just me.
