Not really different. The change came in 2005. The original GSB was a bit heavier, larger tip . Somme surf guys prefer the overall performance compared to the post 05 version. They claim full parabolic action but strength throughout the blank under load also still maintain ability to cast lighter offerings. The new old school blank offers a tighter parabolic mid section and will cast slightly heavily lures .
