Effective Wednesday, October 1, the commercial summer flounder possession limit for all gear types will increase to 5,000 pounds. This increase occurs automatically upon the Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) determining that at least 10% of the state’s commercial summer flounder quota will remain available on October 1. how about lowering the rec harvest size also from
Min: 17.5". to 14 in

I hate this nonsense. same thing for Bass. if you don't meet the quota. shut it down don't extend it ... do they even consider this is the reason they didn't get the quota in the 1st place. they keep extending dead lines.
