... How do you have that blank setup? casting or spinning and is the spine reversed?

I have that Penn SBG-6810 the reel is a Penn 6500ss and PP 50# i can throw 3.5oz polaris poppers easy 350+ feet..

I want a new plugging rod.. I've over worked my rod last year and now i fear it.. I really don't want it breaking on me.. i'm sure it will still handle bass to 30 easily.. but i did alot of no-no's.. lifting the fish with the rod... watching guys catch tautog and putting a rig on just to flip rocks.. ect,ect,ect... probably nothing new to some of you.. but i heard it make noise.. not quite a crack but more of a creaking sound.. thats when i pulled a dumb move and threw a king mackerel rig out to a school of mackerel and whamo.. i hooked into 2 bass 1 was 20 the other was 26.. lets just say it was fun, and i won't be doing that again.
