RE:Boat fisherman WITH BIG BALLS to an #^^^^^^& with SMALL BALLS
I can pee further than all of you! While all you girls (no offense to Fisherwoman, Jenn, Squidmamma, Wendy, and any other females on the site- I hate to lump all these hardcore, tough guys in with your gender) were sippin' beers, chunkin' mackerel, tossin' clams, or however you fish for those sissy stripers, I was proving my manhood rafting world class whitewater up on the Penobscot (sp?) River in the rugged Maine wilderness. Running class 5 rapids in a glorified inflatable canoe is way cooler and tougher than any brand of fishing you do. Hooooorahhhh!
I never thought at 30, I'd be saying I'm too old for this sh... stuff. But I can honestly say that all that extreme cliff diving, whitewater rafting, etc. that I enjoyed so much five years ago is out of my system. That was NUTS!! Since I was one of the elite 5% of the 80 people there that had previous rafting experience, they stuck me (well, I kinda volunteered... not sure what I was thinkin') in the front of one of their advanced, surfing boats... built for experienced types who like to tip over, bash into rocks, and generally get the crap knocked out of 'em. No footholds, no nothing... I should have floated down on an old log, it would have been safer.
Well, I had a blast, but the first words out of my mouth when I got into the car with my lovely wife, well out of earshot of the psychotic, maniacle river guides, were, "never again!" and "that was NUTS!!" followed by "I'm going to DisneyLand!" (I'm going to DisneyLand or DisneyWorld next week )
So tuck 'em into your pants boyz... you've been outdone, outclassed, and outstupided by the new king of hardcore!!! Hooorahhhh!
Can you all tell that its friday and my wife has family coming in which will prevent me from fishing this weekend... yeah, I'm gone! I guess I'll have to settle for sneaking away to my garage from time to time to sit in my new boat that I can't go fishing in. I can't fish from it b/c its still going thru the titling stage, but primarily because #^^^^^^& said I can't fish from a boat.
Well, I'm gonna go home and play with my filet knife or something... hey Got Stripers and Mr. Kav, I managed escape Pluto and Donald Duck long enough to book a charter down in the Sebastian Inlet area for Tarpon, snook, reds, etc. Even though its not fishing because its not stripers and its from a boat, I'm pretty psyched. I've never fished southern waters before. I'll get some pictures on the board upon my return. Got any pictures of the tuna, marlin, and that leapin' shark? Maybe we can get John to set up a multi-species section, or garbage fish as they are oft called
I realize that this is striped-bass.com, but I think a few of us checked "other" on the fisherperson application in the species sought section.
