Star rods are good.
Pretty sure you'll be fishing Cox's Ledge. I think the bass moved out from the East Ground. The Gail Frances likes to drift--we all hate anchoring esp. in 125' of water--if its blowing with the tide, you'll need some lead to hold bottom. But I think 8oz should be good. I did real well with crippled herring early in Nov. Sea Bass are aggresive fish and love jigs; I wouldn't leave home without them.
Now that's a fine eating fish. Good Luck.
