I don't think it was a shotgun wedding since no one was forcing them to wed at gunpoint, but I do think maybe they had taken some shots to the head (specifically the mouth), probably too many shots, and were not fully cognizant of what they were doing. I sort of wish when they went for the anullment they were told, "No, your incredible act of stupidity is not reason enough to waste the clerk's time backing out this transaction."
