I really thought for sure this year the World Rod & Reel record was going to be broken, based upon the progressive increase in size and population that I have personally noitced over the past few years. I was disappointed that it was not, yet also relieved, cause that means I still have a shot at being the lucky one. I figure it is gonna be a big ol fat spawner in the spring loaded with eggs that is gonna do it, not really sure where, probably south .
As to who catches it, I bet that it is some yahoo that went into Walfart and bought one of them $20 white rods that comes with a reel and line already on it chunkin with a rancid old piece of rotten bait that catches it. It always seems that the people with the nice equipement and experiecne get "beat" by the beginners luck.
