i have never been a fan of the super bright lights in the surf. i am a firm beleiver in the idea that the light spooks bass. i have been using this headlamo for a while. it is the princeton tec quest. it uses a normal bulb, runs on 2 AA's, and runs for a loooooong time on one set of batteries.
