John I'm using a Sony Mavica MVC-FD88, which is an idiot camera and takes great pictures. I also like the fact it uses a standard floppy, so I can carry several formated disks in the case and I have lots of storage capacity. It also is nice to just pop in the floppy and open up Paint Shop Pro to open and work with the pics. I paid around $700 a while back, but I've seen them on sale recently in some Staples for under $500. If you want the picture for the site, it's on my bragging board so just grab it off there or drop me an email and I'll get you a copy.
