Have any local Trap/Skeet ranges around ya?? If so, ask them if you can scoop lead on a "Non Shooting" day. At our range, we have guys do it all the time. Scoop the lead from the far end of the fields. Wash it good and LET IT DRY for at least 2 weeks. You don't want water mixing in with the lead.

I know guys that re-use the lead in their trap shells.....talk about penny pinching
