Hey, go for it. Last year at age 37, Maddux was 16-11, gave up a career high 24 dingers and had a 3.96 ERA. He did continue to have a good S/0 to walk ratio, but only 138 strikeouts in a League where you get to strike out the opposing pitcher 3 times a game.. That was compiled in the NL East, where with the unbalanced schedule, he got a lot of starts against the likes of the Mets, Expos and Phillies, and got to pitch in two of the best pitchers' parks left in the game, Shea and Olympic Stadium in Montreal. Wonder how he'll adjust to the AL East, with the short porch in right in Yankee Stadium, Fenway and Camden Yards? Maybe he'll work out as well as Tom Glavine did for the Mets

Al Leiter's numbers playing for the woeful Mets, at the same age, were 15-9, 15 dingers and a 3.99 ERA.
