I'm kinda puzzled by the whole anti-semitic angle.

Let's look at this whole story philosophically.

If you think about it, Jesus would not have been able to fulfill his destiny without his Jewish antagonists.

No crucifixion = no resurrection!

What if it were the Romans who executed Jesus? I submit it really doesn't matter that Jesus' tormentors were Jews.

In the big picture, Jews were the unwitting facilitators of bringing the New Testament to light, in my humble opinion.

Oh yeah, what was it that the great country singer Kinky Friedman said? "They ain't making Jews like Jesus anymore...."
