I saw him live with the Experience at the old RI Auditorium in 1968 - the place caught on fire while he was playing and there was a stampede for the doors - I ran up to the emptied out front row (Jimi kept playing) and stood on a chair 15 feet away from him watching him play "Purple Haze" while firemen were running for the burning chairs in the back -

Saw Clapton and Cream there a month later -

Yeah, I was at Woodstock, too - the first one.
