Lets do the flip side of Raider Ron's thread. Seems many of us have seen at least a few shows that were a disappointment. Here is mine and in my mind it is a big one. I have seen Robert Cray several times, I am a huge fan, have all his albums, and yes.....I continue to see him because the man is a fantastic blues guitarist. However, the one thing that his shows lack every time I have seen him is, and this is something that makes his style of blues so great is........HORNS! The guy has fantastic horns on every album and hit he has ever had, but every time I have seen him live, he fails to produce the horns that contribute so greatly to his unique sound!

He has recorded with the Tower of Power horns and David Sanborn and yet, not once does he bring them along on tour!

So as much of a fan as I am of Robert Cray.....every time I have seen him, he has really been a disappointment. The horns are crucial to his sound.
And thats why I've got the blues about Robert Cray live!
