I have the allstar #1266. Saltheart recomended that this would be a good alround rod for the ditch and on the beach. I beleave it is rated for 2oz-5oz. To cast anything smaller like bommers or yo-zuris you lose alot. Low profile stuf 3/4 & 1oz. jigs with plastic it's ok.
