We should be running into school bass (baby rockfish) season within a month.
Yes - they are heading north - no - they haven't spawned yet. These fish - and I believe I'm correct on this - will be heading north from wintering off Virgina Beach and NC and will generall then head up into the upper reaches & backwaters of the Chesapeke to spawn, at which time the head south and out again (and some going thru the Delaware Canal) before coming up to us in May & June...
