A really nice rod for that in theis area where you only need 4 to 5 OZ of lead plus the chunk is the Allstar 11' 9". Casts great and a good rod once the fish are on. For places that require 8 to hold the bottom , you need the more powerful true heavers. Anyway , if you want something good for that kind of fishing in this area , look at a rod built on the Allstar 1418/2. I once measured a cast using about 5 OZ total at 163 yards with that rod and a Mag Elite reel.
