Don't want to ruffle anyones feathers but if you check the Lat and Long of the Wind Co. Tower you will find it is located on Horseshoe Shoal which is between Hyannis and Nantucket and that area is known to most local mariners as Nantucket Sound, not Vineyard Sound.
The line of disembarkation of Vineyard Sound and Nantucket Sound is a line from West Chop to Nobska.
Would not want you newbie wannabees to get yourselfs lost out there!
