What is more disconcerting to me is that this mega effort they plan to build all these looks to provide only 10% of the demand for the cape and islands. (every time I look at this site in a 10knot -15knot wind it is 10-20% of just the cape and islands)
Sure in a blow you will produce more, but what about all sumer when the wind is low and the entire cape is cranking AC? But the cost per kilowatt hour has got to be insane when you include what the maintence costs will be on those things. Imagine the cost of repairing them in Jan and Feb. IMO atomic is the way to go. We need to do more research on better atomic methods of producing energy.
More importantly, that is a good spot to fish for big bluefish.
Hey wait a minute, when they all decay and collapse into the sea, it could make a nice artificial reef...Hmmmmm, let me re-think this.
