FW...well, Scorton's been pretty decent to me in the Fall...one thing I've learned is to use the smaller live eels from the bucket in there...must be stripers are used to seeing the juvenile edition up there in the creek because that size seems to work better than the big ones. I have used jigs in the past...real small bean shaped heads & this is a spot where I tip them with those clipped off sluggos that the bluefish dined on during the summer...Scorton's just seems to do well by me if I stick to smaller baits...when I was using plugs more I'd break out the 3.5" crankbaits, the 3" poppers...I had a gold & black Rapala that was the closest thing to a sure-thing I've ever owned...until something bigger than usual munched it down & went off for a nap behind a tree-snag, breaking me off before it settled in...
