I've just about used up all the wire coathangers in the house. Cut them in the middle and bend the cut parts out 90 degrees. Wrap a bit of masking tape around the cut part so a plug will slide on and stay. This way I can paint similar two plugs at a time and just hang the unit from a pipe to dry. Overspray doesn't seem to be much of a problem.

Not perfect, but at least I don't have any junk to store when I'm not painting...
