The GSB120-1L is pretty sensitive from what the builder has told me. It might not be the best bet for the "Ditch" but I've used the builders rod in Montauk and it works there fine. I usually use the 8' St. Croix Ben Doerr. It's fantastic for the NJ Surf but I felt completely undergunned for Montauk. That's what made my decision in the Lami. If you want something with a little more backbone, how about the 9' Breakaway? The LDFS90M. That is a sweet rod. It's rated 2-4oz and is a 1 piece. The 9.5'er (the LDFS96-2M) is rated 1-3 oz but is a 2 piece. I think EdJ on SOL has one. You can ask him how he likes it.

Chris, My St. Croix was in the shop with a broken guide so I used the XS10MC all this past weekend for plugging. Sweeeet....
