I had caught a few schoolies with my dad on boats before but this was my first "big" bass from the shore (all by myself)
(a little over 20#) ( I tipped the scales at 50). This secured my surfcasting bug for life. By the time I was 20 I was a bassaholic in constant need for my next fix.
