RE:Hey JohnR

Juls, I went there last night... I had only a couple hits, one 12-14 pound fish spit the hook on me ten feet away but I did land one very sweet 42-43" 28+ pound FAT fish <img src="/Images/biggrin.gif"><!--e7-->... I was working a fan pattern standing 50 feet to the left of the northern most boulder in that spot and at that time I was casting in 30' front of that boulder, after the fish hit and I set the hook, it starts to zig left and then zags right, trying to get in front of that boulder, I had to really horse her out of there - makes me want to find a power handle for that Calcutta 400!!! So, it was both a somewhat 2 hours of fishing and exciting all at the same time!!!

I ran into Big Mike and Chuck on the way home and I was talking to them for a while, Mike said that Pat P was slamming shoolies 25-30 inch and barely missed the 100 mark, he got like 97 or something with some blues mixed in before he had to leave for the E-board meeting... All from shore (at same spot)... Tons of super small bunker nuts running around through there as well as some small silversides or maybe very young, just born herring...wasn't sure not much light.... That whole are from Scituate to the Gut is supoosed to be red hot during the day right now and I believe it.... I'll be there at some point this weekend, certainly tomorrow night... Are you fishing Tri-State??
