We need to hear what they have to say but we also need to make sure something akin to a money grab doesn't take place... As mentioned in previous threads (
A Recreational Saltwater License for Rhody??? ), there is a strong current from the state government to create a SW license for Rhode Island. Much rumbling has been about this license being purely a grab (by me too from what I've heard
). I was, uhh "encouraged" to have an open mind on this issue (for some reason someone must think I'm a whacko or something) but I believe I do have an open mind. But I won't be receptive to any money grab...
This is an issue which will have MAJOR IMPACT on the way we spend our soul soothing time on the water as well as when we invite our friends and family to enjoy a glimpse into that world. This matter will have far reaching impact on the future of Saltwater Fishing in RHode Island and likely other states as well.
