Bring an interpreter with you when you get to Goat Island.
Spring time squidding there is a bit of a different proposition than Fall. The guys who do really well there bring their own light sources (Coleman lantern attached to a rope), get the light right on top of the water and get the jigs down fairly deep. This is not easy to do when it is crowded (as it usually is) and when the current is running through the causeway.
