Thanks, Cap - I might be taking a trip out there end of June - I'd like to go to CH - never been there - but would like to spend a nite at the Bass Club for our anniversary - hopefully, Mrs. Crafty will come along too

Ooooops, forgot, she's on S-B now - sorry, my little dove, just a joke....

Had a friend who had a house there and has invited me to come over for years, just never made it - hadn't seen him in a coupla years and just found out he passed away not quite a year ago.

He was a former BFT record holder in tht Atlantic Tuna Club, had the tail of the tuna over the door of his CH house. Used to keep his last boat Oyster Stu in the harbor there.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
