I stumbled upon
this pretty informative article about Mycobacteriosis and how much trouble the bass are in down in the chesapeake. This has really got me bummed out and i dont think its going to get any better soon. Thanks to lower than usual menhaden stocks, the bass arent getting enough oils in their system which boost their imune system to fight off this nasty rash causing disease... Omega protien, the largest mehaden processing plant in the chesapeake has started marketing mehaden oil to the school lunch programs in Texas and if all goes well will branch out to other states.. And in doing so will add further pressure to our menhaden stocks.
Also to make matters worse, this Mycobacteriosis problem can give us problems too... dont believe me??
