Your not going to believe this...3rd cast with a banjo minnow had a 19# bass late last night. Off the dock in a well known striper spot. I could not believe it but the line was ripping off my reel and I had to tighten down the drag to stop this guy in the strong current and nearly straightened the imitation gamagatsu wide gap hook. I had lightish gear ( my 8' Tsuami with small penn liveliner and 30# braid)
I didn't to much with it (a few hits) after that, but the fish split soon after I arrived.

I noticed each time I had a hit the lure came back fouled around the hook.
A bluefish would make quick work of it and it casts kinda lame (would be troublesome in a headwind) but it seems to actaully work...."best lure in exsistance?"...no way.
I don't see me fishing it much as most of my places are heavier surf conditions but I will give it to the kids to play with in the ponds to chase schoolies.
