There was a post on one of the boards regarding a St Croix breaking right away. First one broke, returned it, got another, that one broke too. Same spot. Sounds similar here. The general concensus was they were probrably damaged.
I'm not defending Batson, or anyone, but I would think twice about your decision tonot build on them anymore due to this (these) incidents. IT sounds like a bad batch or effed up shipping. Based on Batson's rep, I'd blame shipping.
